Passive houses are good buildings for the planet, but why are they good for you?
There may be various reasons why a person wants to live in a passive house, and surely, if we ask different users, each one will have a different speech, superimposing a quality or advantage above the others.
1 - We believe that the main reason must be linked to a commitment to the natural environment. The clients who ask us for information about passive houses are people committed to the world in which we live, to the environment and aware of climate change. This is, in our view, the biggest reason why a passive house is good for its users. Inhabit spaces conceived in harmony with their environment, that adapt to it, and protect themselves from it.
2 – The high degree of protection of the envelope of this type of construction is the next point that we want to highlight. The decrease in energy losses leads to lower electricity consumption compared to other traditional constructions, considerably reducing the electricity bill. Therefore, and even more so in the turbulent times in which we live, economic reasons for saving are often compelling reasons that influence taking the step towards sustainability.
3 – If to these energy savings, we add the energy contributions created by the house itself, we can reach almost zero consumption. The ecological architecture generates electricity through photovoltaic panels, or through wind power generators that take advantage of the winds in the area. An ecological house does not depend on non-renewable energies, thus avoiding submission to highly polluting fossil fuels.
4 – Another important reason is health. Passive houses are bubbles of peace, spaces where silence reigns, and the interior temperature remains constant throughout the year.
Homes in which the mundane noise from outside is not perceived, air currents are limited, and the difference in temperature between one room and another is practically nil.
These are the main benefits that a passive house will bring to your daily life, do you dare to take the step?
