Ecological house in Menorca

This ecological house in Menorca, located in Santo Tomás, was born from the idea of creating a balcony towards the sea. Situated on rugged terrain, the house is articulated on different levels with a common denominator: the sea.

The composition of the project is quite simple, with a prism supported by two robust walls.

The prism contains the night area, with the bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a work area

The ground floor is a large open space that fully opens onto the terrace, thanks to sliding doors that are concealed within the wall.

A house to be lived and enjoyed, near the sea, taking advantage of all the benefits it offers us.

This ecological house in Menorca, located in Santo Tomás, pays special attention to the use of natural materials such as wood, stone, and clay. These materials not only provide a warm and welcoming aesthetic but are also sustainable and have a low ecological footprint. Wood, for example, is an excellent thermal and acoustic insulator, while stone offers durability and strength. Clay, used in techniques like adobe, regulates moisture and indoor temperature. Incorporating natural materials in home construction contributes to creating healthy and environmentally friendly spaces.
